2017 marks 20 years of APS – in these years we have grown and evolved significantly. Take a look at our Company milestones.
1997

APS was born from the vision of its founder – Antonio Quadrato – who has always said that

“Challenges are our inspiration for action and actions inspire others to dream more.”

APS arose from the heritage left by CTIP, the first Engineering and Contracting Company in Italy founded in 1934. The first steps were not easy, but the small group of Italian engineers guided by their charismatic leader Antonio Quadrato accepted the challenge to find a path to success and to become a worldwide leading Engineering Company.

Thus, this big journey began…

2000

Significant successes in the Italian Refinery market: Contracts for Eni S.p.A., the national major integrated energy company;

Started Business diversification and entered the Power and Petrochemicals sectors.

2002

Started growing in the Gas Sector: acquisition of the Contracts for Italian Gas Major Player (SNAM RETE GAS and STOGIT)

2003

The first EPC lump sum turnkey project for Split Reformate Unit in Livorno, Italy

2004

Rebranding to APS Engineering Company Roma S.p.A

2005

First Major International Contract: EPCM for Pumping Facilities for Oil Development Project in Sub-Saharan Africa

2006

Awarded for a New Grass Root Refinery Project by PETRONAS JV in Sub-Saharan Africa

2009

Started a successful partnership with JCG Corporation and increased know how in construction and contracting. Won major contracts for Laffan Refinery Project in Qatar and for the execution of FEED of a new Plant for Refinery located in Basrah, Iraq

2011

Recognized as major General Contractor by the General Confederation of Italian Industry (Confindustria);

Started Tupras refinery renovation project in Izmit, Turkey;

Began a collaboration with SACE;

Opened a Representative Office in the Russian Federation

2012

Awarded for an important EPCM project by Synthos Group SA to execute the new production line for a Synthetic Rubber Plant in Poland;

Opened a Branch Office in Poland

2015

Partnership with PDVSA and Rebranding to APS S.p.A;

Started working on other significant EPC project to build a Synthetic Rubber Plant in Hungary

2016

Opened a Branch Office in Hungary

2017

Opened a Branch Office in Portugal
